When Summer Ends, You Always Look Back at the Memories, Plus Some Advice

Well, it's fall, and school has started. This is all about my summer. Sit down and enjoy.

In August, my cousins James & Jordenne came up from Indiana. We went to the water park and Cedar Point with my other cousin Jahliya. James and Jordenne were also up here for my mom's cousin's wedding. We had fun while they were here. I wish summer was still here, but I'm glad I can see my friends from school again.
We started school August 24th, but we found out who our teacher was before school ended. Our teacher is Mr. Glibert, and he's really funny. He has a different perspective of things, and it's interesting to me. He calls himself, "The Master of Useless Things" because once every day he will tell us some useless fact about something. We have been learning algebra and that kind of thing. it's not easy to comprehend at first, but then after a while you finally get it.
Being in middle school is some hard work. Plus it's an awkward 3 years in a child's life. You're not little, but you're not big. You're in between, and that's when the, "fitting in" thing starts. A lot of kids think that you have to be popular in middle school so when you get to high school you're popular there. That's not it at all. You probably won't have the exact same kids at your high school, and after a while nobody will care.
What I'm saying to all you middle and high schoolers, don't try to be popular so you're popular in high school. Being popular because you have a talent that is very useful is a good thing. Being popular because you're pretty isn't good. No college is going to accept you because you were the prettiest in school. They want to accept you because of your skills. You do want to go to a good college right? Find something you're good at, and go at it.

Well, that's all I've got to say. Have a great school year, and a great fall for the rest of you. (=

Can You Believe It?

Can you belive that it's already July? I mean, it seems like I have been out of school for such a long time, but it has been only 4 weeks. I am really excited that this fall I will be in middle school. Before you know it, I will be a high school grad. I am considering 2 colleges; either the University of Chicago, or Cedarville University. I am thinking about being a wedding planner, a doctor, an author, or a business owner. Both colleges have what I want to major in, but Cedarville University is in Cedarville, Ohio and Chicago University is in Chicago. I want to be close to home, but I kinda want to be on my own in another state. I have to say, Chicago is one of my favorite cities.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated my dad's birthday. He turned 47, but he thought he turned 48. We gave him a clock, we got him some new shoes, and he got a gift card from his sister and his job. My grandma baked a cake for him, but my mom and I ate it mostly.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful July,

Summer Jobs & Summer Fun!

It's summer vacation, and I am loving it. We got out on June 8th, and the next day I spent the night at my cousin Jahliyah's house. Sadly, I went home early because I was homesick, but we had fun while I was there. She was in the Parade of the Circle on Saturday, but I missed it.
I am going to be going to a golf camp on Tuesdays for 5 weeks. My grandpa will be teaching it. I am very excited about it. I wont be busy this summer. Maybe my family and I will be able to go to Hershey, PA for a small vacation.
I have also started my own mother's helper business. A mother's helper is where you watch someone's kids, but the parent is still there. Maybe if they are cleaning the house or doing some yard work, I can come watch the kids for them. I charge $4 an hour, and the minimum number of hours is 2. Hopefully, I can get some good money. Once I master being a mother's helper, I will start my official babysitting business.

Catch you later!

Spring Break and Other Items

We had spring break. We had 2 choices of what to do. Either go to Hershey Park for a couple of days, or stay here and re-do my room. Some of you already know what we did. if you didn't, we re-did my room.I was so happy, but at the same time, I was kinda upset. I was happy beacause we painted it my favorite colors, and it needed to be done like, 3 years ago. I was upset beacause my dad got started late with it.
But after we got it done, i was glad.

The week after spring break, we had the OAA's. They were pretty easy, except for the science test.
I still don't like the fact that the testing is after break. It would be easier  if they were before spring break, and we could just relax. Maybe i should start a petition......

Cleaning a Fish Tank

Ok, so a few days ago, we had to clean our fish tank. There were tons of problems with that.

First of all, you are supposed to clean it once a week. We’ve been cleaning it like once every 3 weeks. It takes us like 45 min-1 hour to clean the whole tank. After that, you have to test the water with an at-home-tank-test. Or, you can go up to PetSmart and have them test it. I will show the steps to it to let you know how hard it is to take care of the tank.

1.    You have to scrub the algae off of the inside of the tank (which takes thousands of years). (20 min.)

2.    Clean the filter, change the filter cartridges out, and clean the light, and other decorations (it’s really gross stuff in there). (20 min.)

3.    Drain 45% of the water out. (3 min.)

4.    Put more water back in and check the temperature. (5 min.)

5.    Put the filter, light, and decorations back in the tank. (2 min.)

6.    Test the water. (3 min.)

Ok, so now you know how much time and energy it takes to clean a tank. The worst thing about it seemed like it was everlasting. You’d think cleaning a dog was hard. That isn’t anything like this.

My tip to you: If you want a fish, get ready for the hard work.

New to Blogging

Hey there!

I’m Corena Pincham, and I’m new to the blogging world. I will be blogging about what’s going on every day. I am 11 years old, and you would think being a teenager was hard. All the things I do for school and responsibility at home is hard work. This is a blog to let people know what it is like to live my way. Hopefully, I can get a lot of publicity. Enjoy!
